New Green City Calendar

We've been working to make the Green City Calendar easier to use. We are still working out the kinks, so tell us what you like and what is hard to use. We appreciate feedback. The re-designed calendar will soon be directly  accessible  from our home page, but for now use the link above.

The new calendar format enables you to:

search easily, using your own criteria, and

enter your Bay Area events into the Calendar yourself.

You will also find links to information about the beautiful native plants & animals that comprise the background images in our new calendar layout.

Join nature in the city!

The Green City Calendar at Planet Drum Foundation is a weekly-updated resource to help people find environmental volunteer options, jobs, and greening projects in the Bay Area. Through the variety of hands-on ecosystem restorative work, bike rides, hikes, farmer's markets, classes, workshops, and celebrations listed in this calendar, we can build a symbiotic balance between humanity and the planet, and promote sustainable urban living.
bulletEvents are listed by date and divided into four sections of the Bay Area: San Francisco, Marin/North Bay, East Bay and Peninsula/South Bay.
bulletThere are separate sections for ongoing projects as well as job listings at the end of the calendar. (Job listings are not yet available)

After exploring the comprehensive opportunities in the Green City Calendar, Planet Drum invites you to send us information about ecological events in the Bay Area so that we may print them for others to enjoy.
