Current Projects at Planet Drum

Reports and Dispatches from the Field

Eco Ecuador

Eco Ecuador is an ongoing project to collaborate with an Ecuadorian community and help create a sustainable local ecology. We have been working on this project since 1999.

Olympic Actions

We first worked with Guard Fox Watch at the Nagano Winter Olympics in 1998. Subsequently, we developed guidelines for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics in 2002 and helped organize a campaign to  develop eco-consciousness in their planning. We will continue monitoring at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy.

Events and Calendars

All Bioregions Calendar

The All Bioregions Calendar lists planetwide (Beyond the San Francisco Bay Area) bioregional gatherings and other conferences, assemblies, celebrations, workshops, and events with related themes.

Green City Calendar

The online Green City Calendar at Planet Drum Foundation is a weekly-updated resource to help people find environmental volunteer options and greening projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through the variety of hands-on ecosystem restorative work, bike rides, hikes, farmer's markets, classes, workshops, and celebrations listed in this calendar, we can build a symbiotic balance between humanity and the planet, and promote sustainable urban living. We have recently have redesigned the Calendar so that it is easier to use. This new format enables you to search easily, using your own criteria, and enter your group's Bay Area events into the Calendar yourself.

There are also links to information about the beautiful native plants & animals that comprise the background images in our new calendar layout.
