Astillero Compost Update

We increased compost production at the Astillero greenhouse site as organic waste piled up. One morning was spent doing maintenance to clean up the area and have more space for working.

On another morning, we turned the compost piles to facilitate decomposition and collected fruit seeds from over-ripe oranges.

Anthony waters the compost pile, while Orlando, Will, and Jose María clean up the greenhouse area in the Astillero.
After approximately one month of collecting organic waste, the compost pile is ready for turning.
The Planet Drum team and local volunteers turn the large piles of compost to facilitate decomposition.
